Lil' Matryoshka doll

A matryoshka doll, also known as a Russian nested doll or a babushka doll, is a set of dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside the other. The word "matryoshka" (матрёшка) is derived from the Russian female first name "Matryona" (Матрёна). The word "babushka" is the Russian word for grandmother.

Pencil case

Here's what I had made last night after lilenen went to bed.. A handmade pencil case as a gift. 100% handmade - began with drawing the pattern, cutting felts and fabrics, sewing and ironing.. enjoyed the whole process (although I slept at 1am!)

New creation! Hello Kitty tissue holder-cum-purse

Here is what I'm working on today... In between Lilenen’s bath time and playtime (thanks Lilenen’s papa). I'm pretty excited about how cute it turns out. I had bought a book from kinokuniya quite some time ago and it has patterns for Hello Kitty and Friends.
I made it small, just about the size of your hand. It holds a phone, tissues, cards and coins nicely. I hope with this tissue holder-cum-pouch will be convenient all-in-one holder for all office workers’ lunch time. Sometimes I will see office workers holding several things in their hands during lunch - purse, tissues, hand phone etc. It is small and easy to hold (I have sewed a strap for it).
It is 100% handmade, started with cutting and sewing the Hello Kitty pattern. I was inspired by several other bloggers with their tutorials. Maybe I will start one too.. I hope...

New creation

Cooling off period - after the hectic weeks of making orders.. felt a little lost. Went into my handicraft room and tidied up the mess.. after clearing, with a lil' touch of fabric, feels like cutting and stitching again, itchy fingers :)
In 5 mins, made a prototype of a pouch-cum-tissue holder. It is a useful item for office workers (like me) during lunch break. The zipper section can be used to hold coins, cards and money and another end is the tissue holder.

Christmas Gifts

More orders came and delivered :) wow a hectic but happy Christmas period.. hope all recipients like the gifts

Alas, she accidentally dropped my camera when I was showing her a video clip.. the camera is not working now.. hopefully papa can buy a new camera soon so I could take the pictures of new handicrafts
